Langka Kawi!

Phew!
Thought I’d never have time to blog again…

I guess I was wrong because I'm BAAAAACKKKK!!!
I was in Langkawi with all 12.5 (including Dot) members of my family for a holiday at Sheraton Langkawi last week. Apparently there was supposed to be monkeys around the hotel room. We only saw them on the first day. Thereafter, the monkeys probably heard my nephews and niece jumping and screaming that they decided not to be near us.

It was a beawesome family holiday in Langka Kawi, or so one of my nephew seem to think it is. Mom managed to secure everyone under her wings and gathered everyone at one destination.
  • Shopping (you guessed it right, Pekan Kuah was THE destination),
  • sun bathing (macam lobster),
  • jakuzi and sauna,
  • cable car and hanging bridge tour,
  • island hopping and eagle feeding,
  • swimming pool,
  • gigantic chess game,
  • food hunting and restaurant hopping,
  • buggy rides,
  • boat ride in the rain

were among the many things we all did within the span of 4 days. Dinner was “sponsored” by the siblings and breakfast was by the “menantus”. Abang was the designated driver and Abang Ipar was the most relaxed navigator as he had the help of the wonderful Garmin. The rest of the herd were sardine packed in one lovely green Toyota Enova.

Everyone had so much fun. The kids especially! They were even fascinated with one of the porter who happens to be a midget.

“UMI! TENGOK ORANG KECIK TU! KENAPE DIA KECIK UMI??”(sambil berdiri dan menuding jari ke arah mamat tu)

And there were many other funny statements from the little penakut gangsters such as:

“NAK DENGAR BUNYI BABY DEKAT POYOT HUSSEIN TAK?”
(after he had placed his ears on the Brides tummy and heard Dot kicking)

“EI, UMI KITA TENGAH MANDILAH! BAPAK KITA TENGAH PAKAI KAINLAH! MALU!” (when I scared him that the Manager is looking for his parents becuase he was not asleep yet)

(when I told him that he looks handsome with his cap turn backwards, he turned it sideways and said): “PAKAI CAMNI TAK HANDSOME, PAKAI MACAM NI LAAAGI HANDSOME”

“WHEN ARE WE ARIVING AT LANGKA KAWI?” (one of them said when we were about to check in)

“I SPY, WITH MY LITTLE EYE, SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH “T”…. THIS ONE ALSO YOU ALL DON’T KNOW?? THE ANSWER IS “MOTOR!” (???)
(As we were playing the "I spy" game)

“AIMAN BUKAN TAKUT… TAPI NAK JAGA KESELAMATAN!”
(when he was climbing up the stairs holding the railing with both hands)

“BYE-BYE AIRPORT! BYE-BYE LANGKAWI”
(As we were about to take the plane back to KL)

Not to forget the famous continent song that one of the kids sang which got stuck in everyone's head:
NORTH AMERICA, SOUTH AMERICA
EUROPE AND ASIA
AUSTRALIA, AFRICA
AND ANTARTICA HEY??

No wonder they say that kids say the darnest things!
Family holiday is soo much fun! Dot! can't wait to have you join the club!

Blog adjourned!
